Every day you are constantly bombarded by stress-inducing events. Whether you work in an office, or are a stay at home parent, stressors are everywhere. 1. Walk Every Day
According to medical research, people who walk for at least 30 minutes every day tend to be happier and more productive than those who do not. Getting out in nature, breathing in the fresh air, and getting your oxygen-rich blood pumping to your brain has been proven to lower your stress levels and clear your mind.

2. Get Exercise
Exercise is a proven stress-buster, if done right. Remember that exercise does not have to mean going to the gym, walking on a treadmill and watching reality TV shows. Instead, find something to do that gets your heart rate going and is fun. Dancing, tennis, swimming, and cycling are great low impact sports.

3. Meditation
Easily the most effective means of calming stress relief currently available to us is meditation. Throughout the day, you are bombarded by phone calls, emails, bills to pay, and work, family and social obligations. Rarely do we take time out of our day that is truly for our selves.

Taking even 15 minutes to sit down in a comfortable spot, close your eyes, and focus on the sensation of your breath as it goes in and out of your nostrils is a proven method of calming the mind. At first you may notice your mind drifting to thoughts of the day, memories of things people have said, or other distractors. When these thoughts arise, do not deride yourself, simply acknowledge them and let them slide away.
